The Product

Is Bake Box gluten free?

At present all of our brownies are gluten free (chocolate, caramel, espresso & walnut, pumpkin pie spiced and cheesecake) and our lemon drizzle cake is also gluten free. We are planning to expand our gluten free range significantly in 2017. If you have any specific requirements please get in touch.

Tell me about your ingredients

Sourcing great ingredients from outstanding suppliers is right at the top of our list. If we want to create a spectacular product we need high quality ingredients to create it.

We select the finest Belgian chocolate, locally sourced free range eggs and milk, and we also love to team up with other small businesses to create unique products. For example we have teamed up with a local brewery Pilot Brewery in Edinburgh, who provide the stout for our chocolate stout cake.

Where is the allergen and ingredient information?

All products have come with allergen and ingredient information. We also have a handy printed card that comes with orders. This can be put behind the till and used by all staff as a reference point. You can also look at the allergen and ingredient info at the bottom of each product page.o keep the price low and deliver to you at a moments notice.

How do you select your range?

We have a fantastic team of bakers here in Edinburgh and a lot of willing tasters. We are continually trying new recipes and always have specials and seasonal products on to keep your regulars excited. Each month we review what is popular and keep ahead of new trends in baking.

If you have any suggestions for what your customers would like, please let us know as we are able to develop new products quickly.

Why do you freeze your products?

As soon as we let the product cool after baking we freeze it to maintain its freshness. We strongly believe that this only enhances the product creating an extra moist texture. Freezing also allows us to keep the price low and deliver to you at a moment’s notice. You are also able to reduce wastage, only taking out as much as you need. Our products take just an hour to defrost so it is easy to keep up with demand with minimal wastage, so more profit for you.

Can you make bespoke products for us?

Of course we can! As long as the quantity is right. Get in touch and lets start creating!


How can I order?

The order process is really straightforward here at Bake Box. You can place an order online, through our easy-to-use website. You can also place your order by phone (0131 661 1402) or by email (hello@bakeboxwholesale.co.uk), using a credit or debit card for payment. All orders must be placed in multiples of six trays for delivery reasons. Next day delivery is available for orders placed before 2pm Monday-Thursday.

Is there a minimum order?

Yes, the minimum order is six trays. This can be a mixture of any of our traybakes, cakes and brownies. We have tried and tested many delivery options and the best way to maintain the quality of the product in delivery, is to package it in trays of six. So all orders must be in multiples of six for delivery purposes.

Do I have to order in multiples of six?

All orders must be in multiples of six for delivery purposes. We have perfected the delivery process and found that boxes containing six trays which are insulted with ice packs, are the most effective way to ensure your order arrives in perfect condition and remains frozen.

Do you sell direct to consumers?

We are happy to sell directly to consumers and have catered for many private events such as weddings and parties, however all orders must be in boxes of six trays.


Do you deliver next day?

Yes, we deliver next day for all orders placed by 2pm Monday-Thursday. We do not dispatch on a Friday-Sunday. We deliver anywhere in the UK excluding Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland this is because we cannot deliver the product quick enough to these areas without risking the Bake Box trays defrosting.

How do you ensure the products remain frozen?

Your trays are placed into protective sleeves for the journey and then packed in a larger insulated box with ice packs. Your order will remain frozen for 24 hours from dispatch.

My order hasn’t arrived

If your order is not with you within 24 hours of dispatch please contact us immediately and we will make it our top priority to rectify the situation.
